Just couldn't pass by. Isn't it awesome??
It is from smb's blog (if enyone knows which blog is it, I'll be glad to sign the author)
Actually, it's originally from my blog and the link to it is here: http://www.needle-eye.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2010-01-01T00:00:00-05:00&updated-max=2011-01-01T00:00:00-05:00&max-results=50from November 28, 2010. The house (I showed some others as well) is an 1800s era home in the city of Fredericksburg, Virginia. The town has lots and lots of such historic houses--what's remarkable is there was very fierce fighting during the American Civil War in the city (the Battle of Fredericksburg 150 years ago is being commemorated this weekend, and I'm hoping to get pictures of the historic re-creation of it), so essentially these houses weren't burned or destroyed by cannon fire--that they survived is remarkable. And, while I like the home, I am not sure I would want the Pepto Bismol pink door and shutters!
Dear Glenna, thank you for the visit! I love your blog and very much enjoy your photos. I added the reference to your blog and the original post, unless you want me to delete this my post completely.I wouldn't want to live in the pink door house either, but looking at it makes me smile. So I would love to have a house like this in my neighbourhood)
